They’re all items where you really do get what you pay for! Just like tools and furniture, good optics are rarely cheap—and cheap optics are rarely very good. - We constantly compare prices with our competition to ensure nothing slips under the radar. Once in a while, a competitor may have a product that’s been sitting around and lower the price to move it. If this happens, let us know—we’ll beat it, even if it means taking a hit ourselves! - We look for every possible way to save you money (like offering a 2% discount if you pay with cash or EMT).
Now for the good part! Here are some great ways you can save a bit more and get the most for your money: Try before you buy. Don’t just test the model you think you want—try one a price point above and a price point below. If the less expensive model does the job, you’ve found instant savings. If the $350 binoculars don’t cut it and you step up to the $700 option, you’ll only spend $700 instead of wasting $350 first. Bam—$350 saved.
- Buy quality. Sure, it’s tempting to hop on Amazon or stroll into a “sells everything” store and grab a pair of binoculars for the price of a fast-food combo. But you probably won’t be happy with them for long—even if they last.
- Shop around. Many dealers are sworn to abide by manufacturers’ pricing rules, so the listed price might not tell the full story. Call, email, or text them—they may be able to offer additional discounts.
- Don’t discount second-hand—but be careful. If the product has a serial number, call the manufacturer to check if it’s been reported stolen or if the seller’s name matches the registered owner. Don’t buy sight unseen, and stick to brands with transferable warranties.
- Take care of your optics. The better you care for them, the longer they’ll serve you. The biggest thing is cleaning your lenses properly. Unless your optics have a no-fault warranty, scratched lenses can cost a lot to repair.
